She forgets Edi Rama: Our tourism was maintained by brothers and sisters from Kosovo

Albania has increased the number of tourists this year. These said Prime Minister Edi Rama, who indicated that without counting visitors from Kosovo, the figures are clear it is for a successful year in tourism.

Rama said that in June there has been increased tourists for 45% in Albania without including Kosovo citizens.

We had an internal tourism and an existing tourist industry that was kept on foot alone and exclusively by our brothers and sisters in Kosovo... I have received the figures of this year that speak more clearly than any speech for foreign visitors, excluding visitors from Kosovo who already entered unregistered because we have opened the border since June 1st and entry from Kosovo is like entry from Shkodra to Vlora, the same. In June we had 604 thousand tourists, including tourists from Kosovo. Today we have 876 thousand foreign tourists, foreign passports, neither Albanian nor Kosovo's 45% June”, Rama said.

While giving the figures for July, Rama indicated that 1.4 million foreigners have entered, again without mercy, persons with Kosovo's passport.

He said Tirana takes second place after Antalya for the highest growth of tourism throughout the Mediterranean area.

In July we have had 1.1 million, today we have 1.4 million foreign passports, neither from Albania nor Kosovo, nor in this period, 1 to August 10 or 7 August, 411 thousand years, 482 thousand years this year, and in one of the rankings made for countries with the highest growth of tourism in the entire Mediterranean area, relative growth is understood, Tirana takes second place after the emerging Antalya is understood in proportion to itself”, Rama said.

These statements were made during the signing of the memorandum of co-operation, among “Eagle Hills Real Development” represented by the investor El Arabbar and “Albanian Seaports Development Company”, for implementation of the “Durra Yachts & Marina” project, the largest Mediterranean resort in Durres, a $2 billion investment estimated to have tremendous impact on the country's economy.
