Peter Stano, European Union spokesman, has confirmed that the next round of dialogue at the highest political level will be held on August 18th.
According to Stanos, both Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq have accepted the invitation of Josep Borelli, the EU chief for Foreign Policy and Security, and have confirmed that they will travel towards Brussels on August 18th.
“can confirm that after High Representative Josep Borrell invited both sides to Brussels, Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq have accepted his invitation. They will be welcomed to Brussels on 18 August by Borrell and EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak to discuss the road ahead in the Pristina-Belgrade” dialogue, Stano said.
He added that he would later provide further details on the agenda of the August 18th meeting.
The possibility of holding such a meeting in the third week of August has warned Prime Minister Albin Kurti days ago, but without providing any exact date, while Serbia's president, Vuciq, the day before, mentioned this as the date of the meeting.
