The visit of senior European and American officials, in all likelihood, takes place this week, and comes after failing last week's talks at the level of Kosovo's prime minister and Serbian president, where the parties failed to execute on the solution, which would avoid the outcome of the situation in the north at the end of this month.

The American emissary in charge of Western Balkan issues, Gabriel Escobar, on his visit to Pristina, will also meet Kosovo's opposition political representatives. Escobar in Pristina comes along with the EU's fascinating emissar for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.

Escobar's meeting with Kosovo opposition will take place at the residence of US Ambassador Jeff Hovenier as a business dinner.

The invitation to this dinner, to be held at the US ambassador's residence in Pristina, has already gone to the three opposition leaders.

As it turns out, Lajçak and Escobar will learn to close the positions of the parties so that the solution will be located at the latest August 31st.

It was supposed this week in Brussels to meet the chief negotiators from Kosovo and Serbia in order to continue talks on the implementation of the Kosovo government's decision on issuing entry and exit documents to Serbian citizens, as well as vehicle license plates, but it seems that this meeting will be held only after Lajzak and Escobar's visit to the Kosovo and Serbian capital and will depend on the success these two arrive during talks with the parties. /Periscopi/
