In northern Mitrovica, two emisars and ambassador have met with Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakic and the mayor of this municipality from the same party, Milan Radojevic.
The Serbian media “Kosovo Sever” has published photos from this meeting.
Escobar and Lajcak met with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Wednesday, as well as with opposition representatives.
Following a escalating situation in late July, implementation of government's decisions on vehicle license plates and regulations on the border as a mutual measure with Serbia was postponed for 1 September, and tensions in the country's north decreased somewhat. But now September has approached and until next Wednesday, Kurti and Vuciq are expected to face each other again to reach an agreement. Under this effort, Escobar and Lajcak are expected to go to Belgrade this afternoon as well.
