A beautiful <x0m> resolution with dialogue on the issue of free movement between Serbia and Kosovo, and along with congratulations for both sides, I wish this development would lead the dialogue to a new level, not to waste time and energy in achieving things as simplely logical as this today”, Rama has written on Twitter.
Otherwise, EU Foreign Policy High Representative Josep Borrell has indicated that Kosovo and Serbia have reached agreement on identifying documents.
He has said Serbia has decided to accept Kosovo documents, with this case removing barriers to free movement for Kosovars.
“After the EU facilitated dialogue, Serbia agreed to abolish the entry/extation documents for Kosovo ID holders, and Kosovo agreed not to present them to Serbian ID holders”, Borrell wrote.
Kosovo's “Serbs, as well as all other citizens, will be able to travel freely between Kosovo and Serbia using their IDs. The EU just received guarantees from Prime Minister Kurti for this. This is a European solution. We congratulate both leaders on this decision and their leadership”, he added.
The Kosovo government has not provided details of this agreement, but has indicated that they will be given over time.
