Delawi, called it “crazy”, the fact that northern Serbs in Kosovo don't pay the current

Serbia must recognise Kosovo's independence if it wants to become a true member of the European family”. So said former US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delaway, in an interview for Voice of America, in Serbian. Delaway has indicated that if Serbia did that, then Kosovo would [...]
Delaway has indicated that if Serbia did that, then Kosovo would contribute even more to peace in the region.
The former American ambassador has criticised Belgrade, for which he has said he is trying to take advantage of the inside by causing tensions in Kosovo.
I certainly hope so. Much depends on Belgrade's actions, which have put itself in a position to control tensions. Unfortunately, Belgrade seems to benefit from the inside by causing tensions in Kosovo”, he has declared.
According to him, both Kosovo and Serbia must give priority to peace, not to domestic policies.
If both countries choose peace and integration with Europe as priorities then there is room for a deal. However, if the priority is given to domestic policy instead of solutions, it becomes difficult to reach a” agreement, the former American ambassador has indicated.
Delawi, named it “crazy”, the fact that northern Serbs in Kosovo do not pay electricity.
It is unclear whether these topics will be discussed. However, I think it is crazy that citizens from northern Kosovo have not paid electricity bills for years. This has contributed to the loss of electricity, environmental damage through the Bitcoin mine that consumes a large amount of electricity”, it is expressed.
Asked about the role of the US, in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, he said that despite many challenges such as war in Ukraine, tensions in Iran and so on, yet still, the American government is carefully following the situation in Kosovo.
The United States is engaged in a series of important foreign policy challenges, such as Ukraine and Russia, China or Iran. Regardless, I think they are still engaged in Kosovo and will continue to do so. The co-operation of the United States and the European Union for the dialogue is good and presents a great advantage and great support for solutions to end the Kosovo Serb problem”, Delawi has declared.
In the end, the former ambassador, Deleiw, has said that the Balkans should integrate into the European Union, and any “patus-quo” would only hinder peace in the region and beyond.
