Citaku behind the situation in the north: Unplanned and uncoordinated government actions

Democratic Party of Kosovo Vice President Vlora Citaku, at a press conference, has criticised Kosovo Government for undertaking unplanned and properly unplanned actions. Citaku said that establishing barricades and preventing freedom of movement in any part of the Republic of Kosovo is unacceptable.
The action last night testified once again that the decision on action has been unplanned and therefore failed to be realised. Failure to carry out these government decisions is creating an impression that the North is unintelligible and that the situation there is out of state control. Also, the Government's actions should have been pre-coordinated with our international friends, not just listening to them in the last moments of crisis. The alliances are as important as sovereignty. They should be maintained and cultivated with seriousness.”, Citaku stressed.
She said the concerned PDK has followed developments in the country's north last night and considers the confusion created in public opinion about the situation in the north as very disturbing.
The illegal procedures and actions of criminal structures in the north of the country, which are clearly synchronized with official Belgrade, are monitored and denounced by the International Community. The Democratic Party of Kosovo estimates that the current situation once again confirms the fact that a comprehensive agreement, focused on mutual recognition, is urgent. We welcome the active commitment of the US and the EU to de-execut the situation.”, she said.
The PDK wants the government to clearly explain what is the new decision and what will happen in the next 30 days.
Citaku stressed that co-ordination of all relief, international and local acts is important before making important decisions for the country.
We expect the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to show seriousness, to behave responsibly, to take well-planned action in co-ordination with our allies. Situations like that last night, where citizens were left in anxiety and confusion, stranded and border-free exiles, dare not repeat themselves on September 1st, when the implementation of partial reciprocity with Serbia begins. Today is not the time for political protagonism but for political maturity. ”, she said.
Citaku has once again invited the citizens of the Serb community to refuse to be manipulated by Serbia's destructive policies aimed at destabilizing the country.
“We have once again planned the citizens of the Serb community not to allow themselves to be manipulated by Serbia's destructive policies aimed at destabilising our country. Everyone must work for the management of order, calm and security for citizens, guaranteeing free movement for all.”, she said.
