Indictee Xhelal Ramadani, who is being charged with killing his neighbour, St. L, said that after seeing the deceased put his hand on his belt, he had taken the gun and shot into the air. According to him, his purpose had been to intimidate the deceased, but the same had fallen to the ground [...]

Such a statement, Ramadani made Tuesday at the Constitutional Court in Pristina, following the continuation of his defence questioned by his lawyer, Marija Lajqi.

The accused Ramadan said that after the deceased man had fallen to land, he had approached him and found that he too had a gun, where the same thought offered help.

“I came close to seeing that he had a gun, and then I got close and I tried a little bit to help if I touched him if he didn't get a heart attack, and I didn't think the gun was in the direction of speeding, I don't know, I didn't know if I hit”, said the accused Ramadan, reports “Betiming for Justice”.

Presequently at this session by answering his defense questions, lawyer Lajqi accused Ramadani declared that he had taken the gun with him because he wanted to go to the mountain and was afraid of wild animals.

The same man said after he decided not to go to the mountain, returning home had met the deceased, but at that point he had begun to swear at him, where the accused Ramadan had asked him not to curse him but the deceased had begun to attack him.

And he didn't get mad at a kid, and he didn't say anything, and he did not ask two slaps of his face, and he wanted me to get his hands kicked, and I raised his hands, and I defended his boxing, so that he got more angry and nailed me to my throat with his bare hands for a few minutes until they started to drop my feet”, said Ramadani.

He said during his statement that fighting the deceased had hit him in the womb, and then the dead man had become even more angry and had told him he would kill everyone.

Later in his questions to lawyer Lajqi, the accused Ramadani said that prior to the event there had been good reports, and that his intention had not been to kill the most deceased now and that it had not been his intention to retaliate for the problem with children.

The same claim was that they had apologized to the family of the deceased and had repented of what he had done.

I'm sorry for what I've done. I didn't want to bo, I express condolences and apologize before the court and the damaged party. I intended that I had never done but it happened by accident”, the accused Ramadani said.

Contract during the prosecutor's questions, Beauty Gjonbalaj, accused Ramadani, said the victim had neighbours, and that three hours before the critical event had a problem with him.

The accused away said he had not seen the deceased's weapon until the same man had fallen to the ground, and the same added that if the deceased had not reached his hand to the generation, he would not have struck.

The chairman of the court, Judgevier Shyti, wrote a written statement to lawyer Lajqi with the same reasoning that the same one intervened without permission.

Afterwards, Judge Fatime Dermak, accused Ramadani said that he wanted to go out on a mountain for a walk after thinking that the dispute with the deceased had ended.

He therefore claimed that he had found the gun and held it for a party and had not handed it over to the police because he thought that it would take the gun to obtain permission, but the same had no economic opportunity to apply.

Asked by the juro member, Judge Naser Foniqi, accused Ramadani, stated that he had told his wife he was going out but had not told the same man where he was going.

The same man said that the deceased had told him that he would beat his children, but according to him, he never did.

The accused Ramadani added that there had been marks on the throat, but in the police he had not indicated, but added that he had mentioned this fact to the prosecutor and added that except problems with children had not been problems with the deceased.

The next session is expected to be held on 17 August 2022.

Otherwise, according to the indictment filed on October 11th 2021 by Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor, accused Jhelal Ramadani, in Low Gadimes, Lipjan's municipality, on July 16, 2021, because of the dispute he had had a week earlier about children and physical clashes on the critical day, with the intent to deprive him of life and revenge, had gone to his home and had taken the gun of the type “Ecol Special 99” and had shot twice in the direction of the late S. L, striking him on the head, with the result of his being wounded, the same man had passed away at the scene.

With these actions, Ramadan is accused of committing criminal acts “grave murder”, and “maintaining ownership, controlling, or unauthorized possession of weapons”.
