Ukraine's General Prosecutor, Iryna Venedicova, travelled to the Ukraine's Conference of Awareness in the Dutch town to coordinate the division of evidence, the prosecution strategy and the legal framework for bringing war criminals to justice.
“Bota is united with Ukraine to find effective means to bring Russia to justice for the atrocities its forces commit on our land”, Venice tweeted from The Hague.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba are expected to issue closing statements with videos later this day.
Venice has earlier said Ukraine has identified more than 600 Russian war crimes suspects and has begun prosecuting about 80 of them. Two Russian soldiers have already been convicted, under Ukraine's criminal law.
Russia continues to deny that troops are involved in war crimes in what it calls a <x0-cypher military operation” in Ukraine.
