Ukraine's first lady meets with Blinken

Ukraine's first lady, Olena Zelenska, met with State Secretary Antony Blinken on Monday, as she launched a series of high profile presentations in Washington that would include a meeting with her American counterpart, Jill Biden.

The Ukrainian blue and yellow flags were waved along with the Americans in Pennsylvania Avenue while Zelenska was heading for her first warning visit to the United States, the meeting with Blinken, reports the Associated Press.

The State Department announced and later cancelled a short presentation planned by Blinken and Zelenska in front of photographers there. The trip, held in a low port, shows Zelenska is not travelling as the official representative of her husband's government, President Volodyr Zelensky. /abcnews. al
