At today's 64th session, with proposals from the Ministry of Health, the Government of Northern Macedonia changed its decision regarding recommendations for high temperatures -- that is, the recommendation for release from the duties of vulnerable citizens' groups, including pregnant women and persons over 60 years of age.

This decision continues to be valid until July 27th.

“According to information received by the Administration for Hydromediagic Affairs, that high temperatures are expected in this country even in the days following July 24th, the Government has made a decision to change the conclusion of the last session, which referred to the exclusion of certain categories of people from work duties from July 21st to July 24th 2022, with the extension of this deadline until July 27, 2022. The recommendation for release from labour duties between July 27th refers to endangered citizens' groups, including pregnant women and persons over 60,”, the government's press service reports.

Other measures for protecting citizens from hot weather approved at the 63rd government session remain valid, the announcement said. /Telegrapher
