Trade Minister Penny Mor Ashdown has third, and as such has been eliminated from the race.
The race faces Sunak, the former head of the British Treasury, who has led Britain's economy along the coronary pandemic against Trus, who, in the position of the foreign minister, has been at the helm of the British stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The two competitors will campaign in the coming weeks to convince about 180,000 members of the Conservative Party with the right to vote.
The winner of the election will become public on 5 September, and anyone who takes the lead in the party takes up the prime minister's position automatism.
Johnson, who resigned on July 7th after months of ethical scandals, continues to take over the British government until the successor is elected.
