The country has been hit by a number of sanctions targeting oligarchs, financial institutions, state firms and the oil and gas industry since the Russian president ordered his troops to invade Ukraine in February of this year.
Putin, speaking in a video conference with government figures, said: “not only the measures, but also the almost complete closure of access to high-tech products is happening deliberately against our country”.
It is clear that this is a big challenge for our country, but we will not give up and remain in a confusing state, or as some predict, to go back for decades. Of course not”, Putin said.
One consequence of the war is that a large number of technology companies have either left the country or suspended their operations. /Periscopi/
