The country has been hit by a number of sanctions targeting oligarchs, financial institutions, state firms and the oil and gas industry since the Russian president ordered his troops to invade Ukraine in February of this year.
Putin, speaking in a video conference with government figures, said: “not only the measures, but also the almost complete closure of access to high-tech products is happening deliberately against our country”.
