Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has thanked his Albanian counterpart, Ilir Meta, who has chosen Kosovo to complete his term as president.
Osmani has said President Meta has been a strong voice in the international arena, as she vowed to apply for membership candidate status in the European Union.
“You are closing your mandate on the visit to Kosovo. I hope Albania, along with Northern Macedonia, has moved forward in European integrations where Kosovo belongs. You have given support to Kosovo during your leadership, and we have had excellent cooperation. Again you will be the voice of Kosovo where you are given the opportunity. Friendship of cooperation will remain permanent. Intergovernmental agreements also need to be implemented in practice”
Our “Agent remains focused on consolidating our country as a sovereign country and promoting economic development. Kosovo is working to prepare the application for candidate status. We are determined to continue in the function of peace. What unites us is the Euro-Atlantic future”, Osmani said.
