The Kosovo government says they are awaiting an invitation to the meeting, but that depends on dialogue mediators, while the European Union does not show any date for meeting, but add that the same will declare when necessary.
The Kosovo Government's spokeswoman, Rosafa Kelmendi, tells Kosovo Preress that the KurtiVucciq meeting has been discussed at various meetings, but there is still something concrete.
It suggests that prior to the summit there will be a meeting of the chief negotiators.
The possibility of meeting the chief negotiators and then even of the state leaders, Kosovo Prime Minister and the president of Serbia has been discussed at various meetings. Yet, there are no official invitations. If they look like these meetings, they'll be in the second half of July. That depends on the mediators in Brussels, Mr. Borrell and Mr. Borrell. Lajcak”, she says of KosovaPress.
On the other hand, EU spokesman Peter Stano in a response to Kosova Prees said he will announce the date and agenda of the meeting when necessary.
“As always, we will announce every future meeting of the dialogue if and when necessary”, he said briefly.
Kurti-Vuchic's meeting during July, also hosts dialogue process connoisseur Gazmir Racic.
He says that despite the Kosovo government's decision on reciprocity, there is no strong reason to stop dialogue.
There is no strong reason to stop the Brussels dialogue process. Even the past has had many unilateral decisions of Kosovo institutions, but they have never greatly jeopardised the development of dialogue. The parties must now concentrate on reaching the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, with EU mediation and the strong support they are giving the United States. Therefore, international support energy should focus on the direction that the two sides eventually sit at the negotiating table at the highest possible level, as they should no longer waste time on technical issues and end the dialogue process that started in 2011 and this way”, he says of KosovaPress.
Optimist for the meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq, EU special envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said last week at the Dubrovnik formation in Croatia. He even warned that there are some agreements between the two countries ready to be signed.
After reaching the energy agreement for the north, it was warned that very soon the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue summit could occur. However, following the Kosovo Government's decision on reciprocity in IDs and the departure of Serbian illegal license plates in the country, Serbian President Vucinic denied such a meeting. Kurti and Vuciq within Brussels' dialogue have only met twice, while the third informal meeting was held months ago in Berlin. / KP/
