“As far as raising the energy prices for basic foods, I think we have warned the Kosovo government that we will come to such a situation, but the government has not been interested in handling these things and we are coming into emergency situations that need to be acted urgently because citizens are economically poor and if they continue with price hikes, I don't know how to get any further than an economic collapse<1>, Lekay told EO.
“We have demanded that the government come with a decision that prices not have a rise to subsidise the excise and TVS for basic foods. But the government has not done so until now, and we have now come into a situation that has to be acted urgently to protect our citizens”, Lekaj said.
