Troy Khoeler's body was found inside the high-loaded washing machine in his family's garage in Spring Texas at 7:20 a.m. after his foster parents called the police to report him missing.
Whether there was water in the washing machine or the lid was closed when the boy was found is unknown. He was dressed.
According to police, investigations have been launched, and detectives interviewed parents after Troy's body was found.
Troy was adopted by his parents in 2019, police said. They said that there was no previous information showing that the house was an abusive house.
Speaking outside Khoeler's house, the Lieutenant of the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Robert Minchee, told reporters that Troy could have disappeared by 4am.
“We don't know what happened, but we intend to find out”, he said.
“If he was killed by the washing machine or killed and placed on it, we are too far from this, I cannot comment”.
He said police had interviewed parents to complete a report on missing persons when they realized there were no signs of doors or windows left open.
Then they searched the house and discovered Troy's body, writes DailyMail.
