A spokesman from the Ministry of Energy and Mine Development in Uganda, Solomon Mujita, said these reports are aimed at attracting miners and gold investors to increase investments in one of the poorest countries in the world.
In an effort to boost the country's economy, Uganda's government has licensed the Wagagi Gold Mining company, a Chinese firm to begin gold research in Bucharest. /A2 CNN
