It goes as far as it calls madness and that they reject the European Union's expansion in Kosovo.
Kosovo was on schedule this week at the European Parliament in France. We reject EU enlargement with this country. We also object to issuing visas to many of their citizens! It's time to stop this madness. The group of Identity and Democracy France says JO”, it wrote on Twitter.
The European Commission has confirmed since 2018 that Kosovo has fulfilled all criteria and has recommended abolishing visas.
The Commission has repeated this stance in the spring of this year.
Meanwhile, even European Parliament has supported and given its consent to visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens.
Diplomatic sources continue to say that, regardless of whether or not it will be mentioned formally in some statement by the EU, the issue of liberalisation is not exempt from unblocking and launching the process in relevant EU working groups.
But this is an extended procedure and cannot be prejudged as to when it will happen.
