France, a person kills five family members

A real massacre happened this Wednesday in France. The media report that one person was killed by police after being taken hostage and then executed by five members of his family.

The terrible event began Tuesday evening when a 22-year-old began holding several people at home, including his father, stepmother, and their three children, in the small eastern town of Douvre, near Lyons.

French media reported that police negotiated with the hijacker at night, but to no avail. During today, he started shooting. Police forces intervened and managed to kill 22-year-old, as they realized he had killed five members of his family, including his father, two siblings.

A family relative said that the author worked at a restaurant in the area, but said no details about his recent state of mind or problems. / A2 CNN
