EU Representative for Kosovo Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak extends the mandate for two years

As the Council reports, Miroslav Lajcak has extended the mandate for two years, until August 31st, 2024. As the same was first appointed on April 2, 2020.
The Council's announcement reportedly that EU Special Representatives are nominated by the High Representative to promote EU policies and interests in specific regions and countries and to ensure the EU an active political presence in those areas.
Currently, nine EUSR support the work of the Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell. These include the four special representatives, as well as the PBEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, and P The EU for Central Asia, the Middle East Peace Process and Human Rights.
