The European Parliament has adopted today the resolution on Kosovo, presented by EP rapporteur Violet von Cremon.

This document was voted no objection to any amendment. Out of 637 eurodeputs, 469 were for, 96 against and 72 abstained.

Kosovo rapporteur Violet von Cremon has provided details from the report, stressing the need for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, as well as its dialogue process with Serbia.

In this report, it speaks of the solidisation of Kosovo with Ukraine, rule of law, the requirement for implementing the Constitutional decision on the Decani Monastery, visa liberalisation and dialogue with Serbia.

The subject, which was not naturally neglected, is also visa liberalisation.

Germany voiced the need for visa liberalisation to happen as soon as possible for Kosovo.

The European Parliament and I personally have constantly reiterated the need to give immediate visa liberalisation, which has long been delayed, despite Kosovo's fulfilling all criteria. All Kosovo citizens deserve to live in a country that enjoys full international respect and clear European integration prospects! ””, has declared von Cromon.

“A key element of the EU integration path is the EU-led dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak has our full support and there is a unique transatlantic unity. However, without legally binding normalisation agreement, accession will not take place”.
