Konjufca said that after reading the Venice Commission's opinions, he has decided to abstain until these opinions are included in the draft law by the country's functional second reading commission,
My “position was this, since I sent this bill to the Venice Commission for assessment, I have received the opinions of this very important commission. After I have carefully read the opinions of this commission, I have found that since I myself have been guaranteed to submit this Bill to this Commission is also the reason why I abstained and so will today because it seems very correct that after sending it to include these second-read opinions by the functional commission. At the same time I am strongly convinced that this work can be carried out by the functional commission I am confident in the Kosovo Assembly commissions. The Commission that treats it, I think it has the ability to include the opinions of the Venice Commission”, Konjufca said.
The Kosovo Assembly has in principle adopted the Bill for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating Unjustified Riches.
