Brad Osman: Macedonian language to be equal to other languages in EU

Taking into account current consultations, Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs will propose to the government the acceptance of the European Union's proposal for the continuation of our European integration, Macedonian Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osman said.

Consultations are being developed in a very positive atmosphere, where the French proposal is being detailed.

”Gruges and various individuals focus on core issues that are important to citizens and the upcoming negotiation process: Macedonian will become the official language of the European Union, clearly formulated and without any remarks or explanations specified in the negotiating framework”, he added.

”Protocol, as well as the section referring to historical issues, remains in the realm of bilateral relations and are not part of the negotiating framework. Adoption of this proposal will mean holding the first Intergovernmental Conference, launching the crisis process basically, opening negotiations with full capacity and immediately! ”, written in Osmani on his Facebook account.

The consultation process continues between the government and other institutions, interested groups and the general public, after which the government will make the final decision”, he stressed.
