US intelligence documents recently released to the media say Iran seeks to kill or capture former President Donald Trump and his secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, for the murder of General Qassim Solejmani.
Shocking conspiracy has been uncovered by the national anti-terrorism centre, which wrote that Iran has launched a long-term programme against senior US officials, including death threats, legal maneuvers, as well as issued arrest warrants and sanctions.
Commander Solejmani was one of the most powerful military leaders in the Middle East before his death, with extensive activity in Russian military intervention in Syria, or with the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.
He was killed in an unprecedented raid on fears near Baghdad's airport during a visit to Iraq in January 2020.
“Since January 2021, Tehran has publicly expressed its will to conduct operations within the US, identifying former President Donald Trump, former Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, and former General Kenneth McKenzie, as the main objectives of his revenge,” is said in the report, according to the Yahoo News network.
It also explains that Iran considers the murder or prosecution of an official as former President Trump an equivalent measure to the killing of Solejman.
According to Yahoo News, the report is classified with the inscription “not for publication” and “for official use only. ”
The discovery comes as current US President Joe Biden is conducting a tour of visits to the Middle East aimed at strengthening ties with the region.
In one of the speeches, according to Israeli broadcaster N12 Biden said he would not hesitate to use military forces to stop Iran from reaching nuclear weapons.
He had said: the only thing worse than Iran would be an Iran with nuclear weapons. ”
The visits come at a time when international talks on the revival of Iran's nuclear agreement and the removal of sanctions follow.
