Albanian youth dies during anti-drug operation in Spain, 7 arrested

A 25-year-old Albanian and seven others have been arrested by Spain's police following an anti-drug operation conducted in Valencia.

The young man lost his life after trying to escape the police as he fell off the roof of a ship's industrial warehouse used for marijuana cultivation, writes Spanish media Levante.

The event occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, where all eight Albanians were trying to obtain the amount of marijuana.

Following their arrest, the medical team said the death of the 25-year-old Albanian was caused by a severe blow to the head.

Inside the ship's warehouse, police discovered more than 700 marijuana plants of various stages of growth that were seized. /euronews/
