This Commission will have the mandate to initiate electoral reform, as one of the most important issues aimed at consolidating further electoral democracy in Kosovo.
Election reform has been one of the main topics over which it has long been working to have a political consensus on the part of all political subjects. Kosovo has had changes to the electoral system since 2007 with the presentation of open lists, while since 2011, despite efforts to reform many of the aspects associated with the election process, in the absence of political will this has not been possible to realise.
Such a process has been assessed as extremely necessary on the part of civil society, international institutions and the European Union.
This is the complete composition of the Ad-Hoc Commission for the Election Reform in Kosovo:
Abelard Tahiri Mayor, PDK;
Adnan Rrustemi é vice president, LVV
Enis Kerwan ré vice president, Multinetic Group;
Avdullah Hoti, LDK
Mimoza Kusari, LVV,
Dimal Basha, LVV
Krysu-hysen Bear, LVVV
Elmi Recica, PDK,
Hykmete Bajrami, LDK
Loyal Tahiri, AAK.
