Leci's decision comes after almost 21 years of work and service in the police.
He has used his official Facebook to announce the decision made, which according to Leci, is motivated by the economic situation in the country.
I have been forced to make this decision by no means easy, but mandatory,”
Leci started his work at the Kosovo Police in 2001, when he was 22, first as a common policeman at the North Station, to end up in the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes, in the position of Head of the Unit.
This is his full record.
Dear colleagues, family and friends.
Thank you all for being solidified with me after the decision to resign from the Kosovo Police.
A lot of you have written me, and a lot of you have called me because most of you haven't waited, and some of you didn't even believe I made that decision.
I never imagined in my career that perhaps one day, I would be forced to resign voluntarily from the police. However, that was just yesterday, dated 15,07,2022, after 20 years and 10 months of service.
Yeah, I've made that decision on my own, and it's been my choice, but believe that very painful choice for me.
It's true that the voluntary resignation in the Kosovo Police is personal and individual, and each one's decision for himself, well before we judge that “is your decision and your choice”, it would have been good to do a brief analysis, do you think why I'm forced to take such a decision?
Because of the correctness, I feel the moral obligation to explain for you and for all who care, that the causes or motive behind this decision has nothing to do with anything but, unfortunately, the economic issue.
The inadequate pay to support my family, the lack of life's insurance, the working conditions, and many other issues, have forced me to make this decision by no means easy, compulsory.
I know that many of you, economically, are in the same situation, and perhaps even more difficult, since most of you have other financial credit obligations in banks that don't care how much you pay for your family, but hopefully better days will come for you, for us, and for all of us.
Thank you, and good priest.
