Warn veterans: If protest passes, the responsibility falls on Kurt

Since the June 6th session of Kosovo's Parliament will be held, and as the first point of the agenda, the adoption of the bill on changing laws, by which this authority wants to remove war veterans from the minimum wage connection, was decided to [...]

The protest has been called for Monday at 11:00, hours when the Assembly hearing begins, just ahead of the Kosovo Queenid facility.

“We as war-related organisations saw the Government of Kosovo through the Parliament trying to change the law, for these categories, for UCK war veterans, the law that links war veterans to the minimum wage and seeing that they have invited a session to change this law in the first reading then at 11:00 we have decided to go to protest”, he said.

While he has also expressed concern about the fact that the government is not being cooperative with war veterans.

In addition to the question of employment for veterans, disabled or martyr families like war-free organisations, we are concerned because this government has never co-operated since it is in power, with those categories”, he said.

Xhavit Jashari on behalf of the families of the martyrs said that with the arrival of Kurti Government, the discrimination of veterans and war categories has begun, adding that they do not appreciate the path full of sacrifices to the country's independence.

We're just leaving another possibility that MPs not approve of something like that, otherwise, are not exempt from forms of our reactions. We're publicly saying that we don't take responsibility because revolts are big, we don't take responsibility. When disabled, veterans and war-free categories are affected, you are touching Kosovo's freedom, touching the foundations of Kosovo that were created after the war. We would not like the protests to continue, but if that happens, responsibility falls on the government and Prime Minister Kurti, because he should have the most special respect and care”, Jashari said.

He called on all MPs not to vote on this law.
