Vetevendosje MP: Ignoring war categories is a major government mistake

Vetevendosje Movement's sole MP, Fatmir Humolli, who has issued the hall in opposition to the bill stipulating the minimum wage, due to the veterans' non-involvement, says it will be against the government if the same does not reflect on categories released from the war. Fatmir Humolli will not join tomorrow's protest called by the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, but says his protest will take place within the Kosovo Assembly institution.
MP Humolli says ignoring war categories is a major government mistake.
“Disrespecting citizens and ignoring categories coming out of the war by the government is a big mistake. I will be in defense of our fellow fighters and the war mission that has been for our people to live free and dignified in our country, the government is not carrying out this mission that it has given itself in the electoral campaign. If the government reflects, I will be in the help of the government, if not then I will be against it. MPs have an obligation to the electorate, not to the government or individual”, Humolli says.
On Tuesday, the Kosovo Assembly has approved it in principle, with 68 votes for the bill defining the minimum wage.
For passing this bill, MPs from the Vetevendosje Movement and those of the Serbian List voted, other communities, not the majority, abstained, while the opposition did not participate in the vote.
“As far as Serbian List is concerned, Vetevendosje has not had to be in a line with it, and that, I believe, MPs who are not party militants will push them to reflect. As far as Serbian List ordered PDK here, then who ordered Vetevendosje to vote without including veterans”, Hummolli says.
While demanding the withdrawal of this bill, tomorrow in front of the government and parliament building, O VL-KLA has called for a population protest.
But, MP Humolli estimates his protest should be held within the Parliament institution.
“backs protests but I won't be in protest on the street because I believe there is still room for my protest within the institution to produce a positive result in favour of fellow fighters”, he said.
He says it is not against the law that determines the minimum wage, but according to him against leaving veterans by their right.
The minimum wage bill, which does not include KLA war veterans, has been consistently rejected by opposition parties in the country. Even from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has called for the most massive appearance in tomorrow's protest, called by OVL-KLA
