Ukraine's richest man has indicted Russia at the highest human rights court in Europe on Monday, seeking compensation to what Periscope told him he has lost billions of dollars since the invasion of Ukraine, writes The Independent, records Periscope.
Rinat Akhmetov, owner of the Azovstal steel factory in the town of Marioupol, where Ukrainian fighters faced weeks of Russian shelling, indicted Russia for “serious breach of its property rights” at the European Court for Human Rights, his company SCM has said.
“The Devil cannot pass unpunished. Russia's crimes against Ukraine and against the people are great, and the culprits for these must be held accountable”, quoted by SCM Akhmetov.
The Ukraine export puncture, including wheat and steel, has already resulted in price hikes and people are starving. These barbarous acts must be stopped and Russia must pay for this”.
Asked about the indictment, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia is no longer under the jurisdiction of the European Court for Human Rights. /Periscopi/
