The European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission adopted today a resolution for Serbia and an amendment that was included in the final text, mentions mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
It is the first time that a European Parliament report on Serbia mentions mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
It is the resolution's 24th administration, which confirms European support for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia with EU mediation and praises the work of EU Special Representative for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
It is important that the authorities of Serbia and Kosovo engage constructively to reach a legally binding comprehensive agreement on normalising mutually recognised relations, which is key to the two countries' progress on their European roads and will contribute to regional stability and prosperity”, the resolution's 24th mandate says.
It is then required that all previous agreements between Kosovo and Serbia be respected and fully implemented in trust and time, including what to do with the Association of Serb Majorities.
