The shift of Sunny Hill to Tirana, Latifi: Pristina taking shape in provincial city

The philosophy professor, Blerim Latifi, says Pristina is taking the form of a provincial city, where nothing important happens. His statement comes after the annulment of the Sunny Hill festival in Pristina. The festival will be held simultaneously in Tirana. <x)
“Pristina daily and more is taking the form of a provincial city, where nothing important happens. The less in the field of culture”, Latif writes on his Facebook account.
Meanwhile, he has good words for Tirana.
The deployment of Sunny Hill from Pristina to Tirana is a symptom of a deeper phenomenon: as Tirana quickly moves into a European metropolis”, Latifi says.
Latif's full reaction.
The removal of Sunny Hill from Pristina to Tirana is a symptom of a deeper phenomenon: as Tirana rapidly moves into a European metropolis, Pristina is increasingly taking the form of a provincial city, where nothing important happens. The less in culture.
The Pristina municipality was hired to give “Sunny Hill Festival” 17 hectares of land used for 99 years in order to hold this event in Kosovo.
But further procedures have dragged on to Government, which has led organisers to eventually withdraw. The festival was scheduled to be held from August 4th to August 7th.
The festival, which began to take place four years ago, had also paused in 2020s and 2021, as a result of the Devov-19 pandemic, which swept the whole world.
The first edition of the festival was held between August 10th and August 12th in 2018 in Germ Park. As organisers had said that year, the festival was attended by more than 18 thousand people. The ticket price was $55. Among the performers was singer I want Lipa and her father, Dukagini, with his group Oda.
The second edition of the festival was held in 2019, between dates 2, 3 and 4 August, as well as in Germ Park. Among the performers were world artists Calvin Harris, Gashi, Kongcaroussell, Michael Cyrus, and again, I want Lipa myself.
