The head of the European Movement from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic, in her Twitter account has announced that Serbia's police, on June 24th, have not allowed her to leave the country at Belgrade's “airport, Tesla”. But, Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has denied these claims.
Serbia's MPB, in a statement to the media, has said it acted on the request of the Third Public Founding Prosecutor.
“In the case of Rada Trajkoviki's arrival at Belgrade Airport, police have acted on the request of the Third Public Foundation Prosecutor. Therefore, the treatment of Mrs. Trajkovic has been aimed at handing over the invitation of the competent prosecutor and are not true for claims that she was barred from leaving the country”, say from Serbia's MPB.
Rada Trajkovic had earlier declared for Radio Free Europe that he had to travel to Podgorica, but police, as she says, kept him at police stations for three hours and then handed him over to the tribunal and let him go home.
She said that during that period “the police did not explain why they could not continue the trip and that it should be presented to the Third Foundation Court in Belgrade on 27 June”.
The call did not say, nor did the police tell me what it was about, nor what crime it was about, nor what call, whether I was a witness or accused. Nothing”, Trajkovic told Radio Free Europe.
As she explained, during the ban it was “in the police facilities at the airport, which occurred in the basement”.
The police are around me and are watching me as if I were the biggest and most notorious criminal in Serbia. Me, a doctor and a professor” previously wrote Trajkovic on Twitter.
Rada Trajkovic is a Serbian politician from Kosovo. She was deputy of the coalition “Return” in the Kosovo Assembly in the first post-war legislature, from 2001 to 2004.
