Scholz told lawmakers that the government has decided to help Ukraine with rockets I RIS-T held by Germany along with other NATO countries.
He said Germany would also supply Ukraine with radar systems to help detect enemy weapons.
Reports came after claims from inside and outside that Germany has been slow in supplying Ukraine with weapons it needs to defend itself against Russia.
