Scholz: We love and we need the Western Balkans in the EU

Germany's Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has been called this Wednesday for parliamentary intervention in Bundestag.

In his resume, the government's chief in Berlin made clear the messages he will have at the large summit held in the European capital between European and Balkan leaders, Kosovo reports.

So in these new times we have to have clarity. Now is the time, we love it and we need the Western Balkans in the European Union. That was my message when I visited the region, and the same message will be delivered at the EU summit with the six countries of the Western Balkans, to be held tomorrow in Brussels”, Scholz said.

Besides that, Scholz said the EU is expected to say 27 times “YES” that Ukraine is granted candidate status.
