This total came despite a significant decline in export volumes in May, as the international community tried to reduce dependence on Moscow oil and gas, reports Sky News.
According to a report by the Centre for Energy and Clear Air Research, the European Union received 61 per cent of Russia's fossil fuels exports.
Although Russian oil is being sold on sale because of its origin, a global increase in the demand for fossil fuels and increased energy prices have still been profitable for Russia, helping finance its invasion in Ukraine.
