A group of archaeologists discovered in the Netherlands an almost 2,000-year-old Roman temple complex. The discovery has surprised and excited archaeologists, since it is the first time temples have been discovered in northern areas of the former Roman Empire.
The temple complex was found in an area where clay is extracted in the village of Herwen-Hemeding, in the eastern province of Gelderland near the border with Germany. The area is located near the Roman Limas area, which is part of the W World Heritage site. NESTO.
