In a video published on Facebook, Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Army in the Donbas region, said: “Every five minutes a Russian soldier dies in Ukraine”.
In other countries, Ukrainian forces are successfully coping with the attacks on Siverodonetsk, the general staff said Wednesday, as Russian troops are bringing new resources towards Donbas for the fierce battle for control of the eastern region.
The Kremlin has announced control of over 97% of Luhansk - one of the two provinces that make up Donbas.
Military analysts and Ukrainian officials have also said Russian forces have now occupied the other half of the Donetsk party.
However, Ukrainian President Volodoy Zelensky has said: “Donbass' heroic defense is continuing”, while Sievierodonetssk, Lysychansk and Pupina remain the most difficult countries.
