Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti has violated the dignity of KLA veterans and has ignored the glory and pride of the Kosovo Liberation Army war.
So the leader of The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, says tomorrow's protest of KLA veterans is legitimate and fair, and veterans have the right to use any democratic, civic and institutional means to seek what is due.
“The Democratic Party of Kosovo has supported and will support their fair demands”, Krasbiqi said through a statement on his Facebook page.
Memli Krasniqi's full statement:
Albin Kurti and his government have consistently and publicly ignored the glory and pride of the Kosovo Liberation Army war.
But with the decision not to include KLA veterans' contribution to the new law stipulating the minimum wage, Prime Minister Kurti has violated each of them's dignity.
Therefore, tomorrow's protest of KLA veterans is legitimate and fair. Veterans have the right to use any democratic, citizen and institutional means to ask for what is due them. The Democratic Party of Kosovo has supported and will support their fair demands.
The government must realize as soon as veterans are a burden, not to this society, but to patriots who deserve the full respect of everyone.
This irresponsible behavior has been brought against veterans is absurd, unreasonable and must change immediately.
