Albania's “Parliament has chosen new president of the country today, Mr Bajram Begaj. In my name and the Democratic Party of Kosovo, I wish President Begaj a new job and many job successes. A full and powerful Albania contributes to stability and development in the region. Congratulations Albania!”, Krasniqi wrote through a Facebook post.
Bajram Begaj has just been elected president of the Republic of Albania by 78 votes, 4 against and 1 abstention. Chief of General Staff Bajram Begaj will be the successor of Ilir Meta and stay at the head of the state for the next five years.
