Lifting the price of derivatives, 21 cases sent to court against economic operators

The prices of derivatives in Kosovo -- day-to-day -- can undergo changes, all because the movement at the International Besa is huge. So said the leader of the Mothers' Association, Fadil Behrani, until it declared that prices in Kosovo today have marked a 1-2-cent increase.
The “Prices in Kosovo are roughly being brought to Disel 1.68 while gas. 1.70. It's only a penny or two. What awards will there be in the coming days we cannot prejudge because there are big moves in the EURZH”, Berjan said.
Meanwhile, in the media there have been reports of high increases in derivative prices, one of Kosovo's gas stations reportedly increased the price to 1.89.
And this, according to Behrani, is happening because “Kosovo is the world's smallest state with mostly fuel stations”.
The newspaper Inseyder, has obtained photographs of two of the gas stations in the country, where current prices can be seen.

As seen by images, oil prices range from 1.71 to 1.79 cents.
MINT: 21 court cases initiated against economic operators
The Market Inspectorate at the Ministry of Industry and Enterprises has also been contacted to see if they're inspecting economic operators if they have found any violations.
The same have claimed that 21 cases in court have been initiated in three months against economic operators who have not respected the government's decision to determine trade margins.
“During March, April and May 2022, the Market Inspectorate has initiated 21 cases in court, against economic operators who have not respected the Government's decision to define the trade margin. Also issued were 21 administrative/written measures for immediate harmonisation of prices, according to the upper decision,”, said MINT's response to the Inseder.
The Market Inspectorate has suggested that, in co-operation with the Kosovo Tax Administration, they are consistently conducting joint inspections, which connect to monitoring the implementation of the laws and decisions of the government.
We remember that with the Government's decision, issued on the date of 01/03/2022, trade margins have been set up to 6% for retail vendors, and up to 4 % for retailers in large numbers.
Four months ago in Kosovo the price of derivatives ranged from 1.33 to 1.30 per Diesel, while gasoline was estimated at 1.25 to 1.35 cents.
Stabilisation of the oil market worldwide, including Kosovo, is expected to occur as the war between Ukraine and Russia ends.
