Citizens with this case have marked names for all those who were refugees during the recent war in Kosovo.
Fjona Hazismajli from the organisation “Youth Human Rights Initiative” said the purpose of this activity is that citizens who have been refugees during the war share their confessions.
With a road action, we're marking this day by establishing sentences that I was a refugee, but I also support refugees. This is how we are committing citizens to remain a symbolic document, a way that we can all be part of the action. It's where they're signing and putting their name, but it's also thus having the opportunity to share their stories, because we've created a virtual platform where it's on the internet, it's the virtual refugee museum. There are different stories, as well as the different Narratisvas of people who have already shared. Since 2020, people have shared their refugee stories during the recent war in Kosovo. We have stories from different backgrounds and from people of different ethnicities”, Haxhismajli stressed.
She also told of the platform, the “Museu of the recent war childhood in Kosovo”, who are collecting material with the experiences of citizens who were refugees during the Kosovo war.
Otherwise, about 1 million Albanians were forced to flee their homes during the Kosovo war, and each has a confession. /kp
