In an interview given for Tv1, Cromon has said that Kosovo should compromise dialogue with Serbia while criticising the executive for certain decisions it considers unwise.
After the official visit to Belgrade, the rapporteur for Kosovo to the European Parliament, Violet Von Cremon, came to Pristina.
In an interview given for Tv1, the eurodeputje spoke on the question of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and on regional initiative “Open Balkan”.
Von Croamon expresses sceptical about the open Balkans because, she says, the initiative does not enjoy the support of all states.
However, it has asked the Kosovo government to be more cooperative in the event it wants to integrate more into the region.
The Berlin Process has so far failed to produce expected results, so it must be the focus of German Chancellor Olaf Schelz. While the other regional initiative, Open Balkanovina, which has been initiated by two states and does not enjoy support from all sides, I am sceptical of the process. But I can say that some decisions made by this government have not been very clever, it takes more cooperation if you want to integrate into the region”, she said.
Von Croamon says Kosovo is lacking will in dialogue.
According to her, our state should be ready for a final compromise with Serbia.
“More will needs from both sides involved in the dialogue. What I have heard from partners in Berlin, Brussels and Washington, is Kosovo's scepticism in this process. I don't know if this is happening to please the citizens of the country that I would regret. I really want to see that there is a will for compromise and complete this process. It is not good to keep all projects hostage because of the” dialogue, she added.
Among other things, the rapporteur at the European Parliament said he hopes visas for Kosovo citizens will be liberalised within this year.
