We keep our jackets? Are we clear? British Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked as he sat on the table with leading colleagues of the world's largest economies.
“Let's wait for photo”, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.
Officials were trying to take an official lunch photo with leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.
“We must show that we are stronger than Putin”, Johnson said.
Trudeau then added: “We're going out with the chest out on the horse. ”
He was referring to a 2009 photo where Putin posed without a shirt riding a horse in the mountains of the Siberian Tiva region during the holidays. Then Johnson sounds on the scene saying: “
“Passion is the best”, European Union President Ursula von der Leenen said.
President Biden was present at lunch, but he did not seem to have been involved in the jokes about Putin.
