What will happen on June 23rd?

France's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the issue of visa liberalisation for Kosovo will be discussed at the meeting between the European Union and the Western Balkans, which will be held on 23 June in Brussels.

France's MPJ on its official page has published a question, in which Kosovo reportedly blames France for slowing the process, and the answer has been given.

Despite European Commission recommendations, Kosovars do not have Schengen visas. According to Pristina, France is one of the countries that is slowing down this process. Why is that so? Will this topic be addressed at the EU-Western Balkans Summit?”, is the MPJ's question.

The summit reportedly will also serve on this issue.

The June 23rd meeting of leaders from the European Union with that of the Western Balkans will be a chance to discuss the possibility that countries in the region will meet their European perspective, among other topics. As for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, this issue is part of a guide that has been adopted by the European Union, which includes a set of conditions that must be met effectively in the long term”.

However, these conditions Kosovo has long met.

The day 23rd is mentioned yesterday by the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, at a joint media conference with European Council President Charles Michel. She said whether liberalisation will happen or not is in the will of member states, until she announced that Kosovo institutions are in contact with all Union states separately, with some of which have still received final answers.

France and the Netherlands are the two most skeptical states for the visa liberalisation process, despite remarks Kosovo has expressed to Kosovo that it is the only state in Europe that is being unjustly isolated.
