Turkish and Greek officials have recently appeared in the media, criticising each other's policies.
The situation was further tense when Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis urged the US not to sell Ankara warplanes.
Today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the Greek prime minister that he has not respected the agreements the two countries strongly agree on.
Erdogan said the two leaders have agreed not to make statements against each other and that Greece has not kept its word.
During his speech, Erdogan said that history would repeat itself and that Greeks would suffer the same things as their ancestors 100 years ago.
I waited for you and offered you food, we agreed to talk without third parties, but after 15 days you went to the U.S. and talked about us and F-16 planes. When 100 years ago your ancestors went to do this, you know what happened to them, don't suffer the same thing”, these were the words of Recep Tayyip Erdogan/abcnews.al.
