American Panshiptar Congress: Balkans open only after Serbia recognises Kosovo

The board of the American Panshiptar Congress (KPA) in a media statement has said that the Open Balkans initiative cannot be based as long as Serbia opposes Kosovo's independence and refuses to admit the blame for its decades-old policy of depression and war crimes in Kosovo. [...]
KPA Board Chairman Manny Celay said the Open Balkans provides a platform for expanding Russia and China's influence through Serbia, and as such conflicts with US peace and stability efforts in the region.
The Balkan Open “Nism is not based on the principle of equality of members. This initiative does not view Kosovo as an independent state and seeks to impose Serbia's economic hegemony on the region, built through policies that undermine long-term stability and democratisation of the Western Balkans”, he has said.
The KPA welcomes US envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar's statement that any economic integration initiative should include the six Western Balkan countries as equal to”
Moreover, The KPA calls on Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, to focus efforts on the optimism support of Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity and Albania's long-term national interests by working with Kosovo leaders to strengthen partnerships on common values and future aspirations for EU integration.
The KPA believes the only option to achieve equal economic integration is the Joint Regional Market, which the six Western Balkan countries agreed on in 2020 in Sofia, which will be followed by a plan of 30 billion euros funded by the EU and related to the region's EU membership prospects.
