Today it has been 78 years since the genocide against the Albanians of Chamari.
On June 27, 1944, Greek forces guaranteed that in the event of handing over weapons, nothing bad would happen to the Albanians of Chemmeria, during their meeting with the mufti, the mayor of the council, and the director of Paramith education.
So said a post by Albania's General Archives Directorate, which pointed out that with the arrival of this verbal pact, the promise was not just held by the Zerviste forces, but shortly after the arrival of the city, they slaughtered over 200 Chameria Albanians.
So the massacre on the vulnerable population continued for days.
During the attack on the civilian population, more than 30,000 Muslim Albanians were expelled and more than 3 thousand others were killed.
