Speaking during his night speech from Kiev, he said Russian forces had levelled the region. There are ongoing attacks on the Odessa region, in the cities of central Ukraine. Donbas has been completely destroyed”, he said.
The “all this does not have and cannot have any military explanation for Russia”, Zelensky added.
This is a deliberate and criminal attempt to kill as many Ukrainians as possible. As many homes, social objects and companies as many as possible are destroyed, the Ukrainian leader said.
On Thursday, Ukraine's defence ministry accused Russia of intensifying its attacks on Donbas and preventing the departure of civilians.
